OUR CASTLE!

We didn't think we'd be buying a house until a long time after the wedding but it looks like fate had different plans for us. Every single time we walked past this particular row of terraces, I'd always squeeze James and tell him how much I'd love to live in one of those exact houses in that exact street. I wasn't dropping hints, I swear! I really thought it would be a "dream", not some goal I wanted to achieve.
James is obsessed with the property market and scrolling through listings and visiting open houses is something he does quite a lot. This one day, he was clicking through the site and I was reading the paper or blogging or something and I heard him say "Don't worry sweetie, I'll work it out". Before I got the chance to say "Eh???" he told me to come and look at something on the screen. And there it was, one of those very houses, listed on the market. We went and had a look. Never before have I walked into a place and felt it was just made for us, but it happened that day. The real estate agent told us he could find a buyer for our place but we told him we'd only sell if we were the successful buyer of that property. There was lots that happened in between, so much uncertainty and so much time spent trying to fast-track every single part of the process. The real estate agent even offered us a long settlement on our house so we could have time to go looking for another place should we lose out. But there was no way we'd do that - we were only in the market because our dream home happened to be there! Then, on Thursday, we submitted our offer. It was so close to the auction we thought they'd reject it, given we weren't the only ones who wanted the place, but someone had our backs that day! That afternoon, we signed the papers and someone signed the papers to buy ours. It all worked out so perfectly it's as if it was meant to be that way. I really think it was.

My format has gone haywire so I am backtracking through every individual post to stop the text from wrapping and looking all strange. Will take aaaaages but I guess it's worth it as I like the revamp so much!
