SUNDAY STROLL

I took a late afternoon stroll while my sweetheart went to the office for a couple of hours. Here's some little discoveries I made as I wandered through Paddington today:

1. Having beautiful flowers displayed around the home need not be expensive. Two bunches of carnations from Thomas Dux cost me just $12.00. I took my time arranging them and here's the result:

2. I also rejoiced at the fact that I don't need to scour the internet (and wait for the post to arrive) for a gold flaked polish from Deborah Lippmann. This similar one from Sportsgirl cost me just $7.95:

3. I discovered that Pearl, the marvellous home accessories/gift store was having a sale. I got this mirrored tray for $60.00, down from $89.00 :-)

4. I also discovered that the very best way to display perfume bottles is by placing them upon a mirrored tray. The bottles look newer, sparklier and a display like this 'lifts' a space considerably:

Ooh! Before I forget - you have 'til Friday to enter my first ever, 'Pink Package' giveaway. All you need to do is pop your e-mail address into the comments field below (it will be visible to me and not used for any other purpose) and you'll be notified by email if you're the winner.

    1. Thanks Andie! Yes, I love Daisy and the bottle too. All the spring/fresh versions of my favourite perfumes i.e Miss Dior and Alien are worth checking out if you like a lighter fragrance.

  6. Dear Anna,

Love your blog, you have such a flair for arranging items, I should send a pic of how my flowers and perfumes are arranged to let you compare, now I am off to buy some carnations( my fav flowers) and spend some time arranging them, instead of just plonking them in the nearest glass/milk bottle etc. Thanks
